Boutique Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Central Otago
Parioli Olive Grove is a small family run grove of 408 trees. Most of the trees have now reached full maturity and bear a full crop of fruit. The main varieties of trees grown are Barnea, Minerva, South Australian Veradale, Frantoio and Chamlali.
The picture above shows the location of the Parioli grove on an elevated terrace above Bannockburn Bay, Lake Dunstan. The micro climate in Bannockburn is ideally suited to olive trees as they like the extremes of a hot summer and a cold winter. Our olives grow in as natural a state as possible with only water being applied in the dry summer. The olives are hand picked in early June. They are then pressed within 24 hours of harvest to maintain optimal flavour and the oil is then bottled by hand. Parioli Extra Virgin Olive Oil is sold throughout Central Otago at wineries and speciality food stores.
Parioli Extra Virgin Olive Oil can be enjoyed as a light dressing on salads or green vegetables or you can simply enjoy the distinctive flavors by dipping fresh bread. Store all olive oils well away from heat and direct sunlight and preferably in a dark bottle to maintain the fresh character and flavors.
